Model Rocket Mondays

If you watched Tom P. on mtv cribs, you know that he isn't very good at model rockets. Well, he's been practicing. Here we have the Mean Machine, 6 and a half feet of model rocketry goodness. Upon launch, all was going good. As the 'chute deployed, the wind began to gust slightly, pulling it towards the large trees in my front yard. It cleared the big ones, but we weren't in the clear yet. It was coming down and closing in on the power lines and the busy highway. As we sprinted for the rocket, it came down in a small pine a mere 15 feet from the road, an arms reach up. It was a glorious day for rocketeers everywhere as the launch and recovery were both a success.
