I found this photo of myself last week. years of being tossed away in the closet has stained and faded the colors. Yea I could photo shop it all out and restore it, but this pictures faded condition is running parallel to my memories of this era,... fading. I don't remember who took this, I don't remember what demo this was for. I only remember two things from this day in Knoxville.
1. The roll in...... Ive never been on a sketchier set up than this, even still. We started on top of a U-Haul box truck parked about 20 feet in front of a 5 foot box ramp. Attached to said uhaul was a 4 foot wide, 25 foot "sectional" roll in made out of scrap boards that were lying around City streets skatepark. Then damn thing sounded like an old woman's knees on a treadmill when it was lifted into place.
2. Will Love.... Will was injured this weekend and didn't ride, but he did jump up on the box and proclaim to everyone that I was gonna jump over him. Will is at least 5 11" id say, and given the roll in combined with a new "living" height bar, it was adding up to the most traumatic drop in of my life. The term "Go fast- pull up hard" will get you through almost anything in riding, and possibly life. This pic is proof. Its Friday folks. Whether you are hitting a rail, a launch, the bar, your boss, or a wall....go fast and pull up hard.
